CHEYENNE, Wyo. – P1 Group has been awarded the largest preventive maintenance (PM) contract in our company’s history, at the HollyFrontier Corporation’s Cheyenne, Wyo., petroleum refinery.
P1 Group’s Wichita office has been providing HVAC maintenance and project work at the HollyFrontier refinery in El Dorado, Kan., for several years. HollyFrontier recently asked P1 to complete a design-build HVAC project at the Cheyenne refinery, which led to additional opportunities, including the new, five-year maintenance contract. Under the new PM contract, P1 Group will provide all of the daily maintenance, repairs and system upgrades.
P1 Group associates who were instrumental in the sales process to secure the PM contract include Tony Whited, Adam Collier, Kevin Woods, Sharon Haycock, Phil Nehring and Mike Belcher.
P1 Group’s maintenance work on the HVAC systems at the plant will keep control rooms in classified areas in optimum running condition, which is essential to the refinery’s work. The refinery has a crude oil capacity of 52,000 barrels per day, which is purchased from producers in the Cheyenne area and also imported from Canada.
Dave Pate, P1 Group Service Manager, is in Cheyenne and is currently working to set up the processes and procedures. Eric Williams, Service Technician, has re-located to Cheyenne from Wichita. Andy Dunbar, Wichita Service Manager, will manage the PM contract with assistance from Operations Coordinator, Lydia McElwee.
